For individuals who have access to the Internet, the best place to find federal income tax return forms is the official IRS website. At the site, you can perform a search based on the tax return that you file, as well as use the search box to explore all of the resources the IRS has compiled. For taxpayers who reside in a state that also levies an income tax, you can find their forms by visiting their respective sites. Taxpayers who do not have access to the Internet can visit their local public library during the tax season (January through April 15) to find common forms.
